Meet The Founder

Shauntice Wheeler is the Founder and Principal Consultant of PREP Work Consulting. With more than 26 years of experience in education, public service, and systems design, Shauntice has built her career around one core mission: expanding access to quality education and holistic wellness for families and communities.

Throughout her journey as a classroom educator, school leader, state agency leader, and national consultant, Shauntice has remained focused on making systems work better for the people they serve. Her work bridges strategy and practice, helping organizations build solutions that are thoughtful, inclusive, and grounded in the realities of the communities they support.

Before founding PREP Work, she served as a Senior Technical Assistance Consultant at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), where she led statewide initiatives focused on culture, access, and collaboration across public agencies. From supporting school improvement efforts to strengthening workforce systems, her work has always centered on people and purpose.

Shauntice’s perspective is shaped by years of on-the-ground experience and a deep belief in the power of partnership. Whether she’s helping organizations navigate change, supporting community-driven initiatives, or rethinking how services are delivered, she brings clarity, compassion, and a commitment to meaningful impact.
